What is the ASA? The African Student Association (ASA) at Pennsylvania State University represents and promotes the rich culture of Africa on campus. ASA was initially founded as a means of bringing students from various African countries together socially, and this continues to be our primary objective but all interested parties are welcome to join.
ASA is a social organization at Penn State committed to the integration of African students on campus. As a group, we plan get-togethers to help us interact in a less academically charged environment. Our organization takes part annually in the conference of International African Students Association, an event that brings together African Students from all over the USA .
Membership for the Penn State ASA is $20 yearly. We use this money for planning and organizing events (social, sports, etc) and also to provide some free food at the meetings. To join our great organization, simply come to any of our meetings or click the "Members" link in the options menu.
